The Gateway Trust Members meet annually to receive the accounts and delegate authority Trustees.

The Chair of Trustees is elected or appointed to this role. The role of the chair is to lead meetings and be the link between the CEO and the board of Trustees.

Trustees are ultimately accountable for the trust as a whole as well as the performance for individual organisation. The Board of Trustees agree a scheme of delegation, appoints the CEO for the Trust and Headteachers for each school. Trustees delegate some local responsibilities to Local Governing Boards.

The Chair of Governors is responsible for leading the meetings and ensuring that the school fulfils its delegated responsibilities. The chair is the link between the Board of Governors, Trustees and the Headteacher.

The Local Governing Board executes local responsibilities, holds leaders accountable and supports monitoring through lines of enquiry each half term.
